Reading and Writing in My Life. Do I like it?

  2011, it was a sunny Tuesday in Chula Vista, and I had just gotten back from preschool. I was ready to start eating, when my parents came up and surprised me with some soccer shoes. I remember jumping out into the field and presenting myself with my new teammates, and it was hard at first because I was the only Mexican player, and no one knew how to pronounce my name. I still try to play to this day as a hobby, but man was I good back then.   LANGUAGE, WHY IS IT SO IMPORTANT? WHAT DOES IT HAVE TO DO WITH ME  If you're reading this, I am assuming that you communicate with other people somehow, and try to talk with family and loved ones, right? I hope that's the case. Anyways, we all have different ways of speaking with other people in our communities, whether it be school, work or close relatives and friends. I myself am bilingual, fluent in both English and Spanish. When it comes to family, since we are all from Mexico, it has always been in Spanish and nothing else, which makes me happy because it means I won't forget my roots. In Spanish, I feel like I'm more excited and show more emotion.  On the other hand, If I' m talking with people in my community, it's always English and I tend to be more serious for some odd reason.
